hi people!

thanks for all the sympathy.

welding would not be an option as the engine was not even running 2 houers since rebuilt.

i am very happy that i recieved an message today from the supplyer that they exchange the head without question!

that message makes life a little bit easyer now... :)

will keep going the project so i can do a new try next season ;)

the only hurdle is that the pistonring on the infamous cylinder had begun to rust into the cylinder :(

i'l wait to see howi can cope with this problem :?: :!:

0.10 mm is a bit much for honing isn't it?

Thats great news 8-) nice with decent people :)

Have you poured some Coca Cola into the bore ? that will surely remove the rust.

Then you can check the marks better, to see what needs to be done ?

i already removed the rust. the marks do not look nice...

next step is to dismantle it totaly, then looking with my machine shop what should be done. i only hope that they can save the bore witout going to rebore it. :(

The Cooper Engine is back in Place do to the Arden Engine will go under construction again.

As the Bores are not savable it will need a rebore and so i can take the new 1071 engine for that project as it will need a rebore anyway...

With the new repro S Wheels the car looks very vell :P

About the TJ injection,
did you have a look at mk1-performance, you will find some instruction about this, mounting schemes and description, tuning tips.
do you believe this, 2 mk1 with 8 port and Tecalemit injection in fribourg? we really have to meet. i will receive my injection in a week or 2 but i will work on the engine in the summer.
and you are right, your car is beautiful with the new wheels.

Hello Guys!
So, with almost 4 years break, new Hobbies and some Rust problems on the Cooper, he is on the way
to get healthy again.
I found a good Man who is in Love with Metal and is a real Artist with Panels.
Rust is almost gone and i should pick it up end of October.
Yesterday i couldn‘t hold me back to try to bring the Engine to life again.
And it sounds realy realy mad! i love the sound of those Amals!
My target is the IMM next year in Brigton

Thanks for the compliments!
I will try to paint the front that it looks like the rest of the Car. I don‘t like if it looks to much like a christmas tree ball ;)
