Mark, it's a real mixed bag at the minute, I bet there's loads getting screwed over with crap.

Anything original mk1 is getting ridiculous, which is probably why all the rogues are latching on just now.

That reminds me I haven't paid you for the trumpets yet, apologies, hardly had a night off in weeks. I'm away next week but will get there after Easter and buy you a pint!

That pint sounds like a good idea Steve, but don't fret about the bell's, just as & when is fine by me.

It absolutely staggers me that our schools can produce people who have such a tenuous grasp of the English language!
Reminded me of the paragraph below used to demonstrate the power of the mind to find the meaning even when words are jumbled;

"Arocdnicg to rsceearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn’t mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoatnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer are in the rghit pcale. £1500!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dream on hooker!

If anyone wants an original Downton development paperweight please let me know & I will chop up the cracked 970 development head I have. It was also done by Ray & George & is THE most spectacular 5 port A Series head I have ever seen. I could even do you 1/2 the special Downton experimental alloy manifold too.

I stated this off as a joke, but if anyone is seriously interested, please let me know. I would be looking for about 1/10th of the price of the one that is being offered on ebay.

The item above is PERFECTLY GENUINE & being sold by a member of the forum. BMC experimented with a 2 cylinder engine but abandoned it early on. This block is part of one of these experimental engines.

It has been discussed at length here before.
