I assume that there must have been a reasonable fixed changeover point i.e. when the old stock ran out. Maybe it depended upon the factory or particular production line ?
Well, if enough of us are anal together :shock: , maybe we can eventually reach a conclusion based on some facts.

These late '66 SA shells also both had Australian doors, which was supposedly introduced in Jan 1967. Maybe the factory doing the assembly of the CKD kits here in Blackheath, Cape Town thought that they could introduce the binnacle as cool new feature with the new doors and register the car as a Jan 67...which is what both my cars are registered as.
