Wheels dilemma...

Would be an easy choice for me.

Fit the style wheels you like the look of. It's your car so who cares if it's not to the taste of others. It's what you like that's important.

Keep the factory steelies for events where originality might be important or the occasional change in look to keep things fresh.

Or another option is to use the Cooper full wheel trims, you could put them on top of:
Std cooper steel wheels (they will fill the arches out a little more than 3.5” Cooper S)
Cooper S 3.5” or 4.5” steel wheels

The downside is they may scratch the outer face of the wheels

I have never gotten used to the look of the 3.5 inch Cooper S rims. I guess it is because Australian cars always had the 4.5 inch rims. So the skinny ones just look odd to me - the offset reminds me of someone with bulging eyes.

If it were me, I would use the 4.5 inch steel rim in either the S offset or reverse offset depending on what brakes you want to run etc. I haven't seen them in the flesh, but the Blockley 145 looks like a good tyre option.

Like Timmy I am a big fan of the Minispares ST Minilite rims. I have these rims with Dunlop R7 tyres and I think they look great, especially on a Tartan Red Mini.

I briefly had a set of these on LFF when it was a daily, great looking wheels!

no mention yet of GKN Challenge wheels .. ok maybe a bit modern for a 60,s car .. but i would take a set if anyone is considering to dispose of their Stash of Challenge Wheels 12" or 10" would do nicely

Yep, I've got a couple of 67's and 2x 68's. Got them cheap locally. Just been crack tested and perfect. very little corrosion at all. Probably due to the high quality alloy LM grade alloy used
