I still have one of the original 5 bolt bumpers from my 62 but it's dented and not in good shape. And would need alot of work.

But I striped a 80's mini a year ago and it has genuine grey bumper still with the hologram on it. I will see how well it fits compared to the other ones I have to see if it's me being too fussy over the bumper fit.

Also a mate of mine has had fibreglass bumpers made from a genuine bumper mould. And he has also found a company that sprays chrome.

Spray chrome mybe something think about. They spray plastics ,complete cars, bikes. Phones. Anything

I would be interested in some bumpers if you were going to get some made.

just got a set of bumpers from somerfords, they are stainless steel, but still shiney, and a very nice shape, much better than the ones i had, and look good quality, £48 each, all in with postage £106, i a bit of a fussy bugger and want things right, but i am happy with them, and if it comes to it i have to find a place that will chrome S/S, to have it looking right for a mk1

car comes back next week from the blasters so i see how well they fit

these bumpers are the same ones supplied to the car that won mini of the year, somerfords said, not sure what car it was,
