I’m thinking there must be a way to insure against the legal liability of any new entity that takes it on.
I was thinking this as well, there must be a way to structure the ownership of the forum, so that individuals are not liable. This would need to be done with professional advice, I ( and I am sure others) would be willing to contribute towards the legal costs, maybe set up a funding account ?
It would be great if the forum could continue, with a structure that removes the liability for an individual, as others have said, I’d happily contribute to the costs of that.
I’ve not been super active on the forum lately, though do check it every day, it’s a privilege to be able to contribute as a moderator.
It’s the only Mini forum I ever go on now, as the information here, and on the main site, is second to none, if it does get closed as an active site is there a way or keeping it live as a ‘read only’ resource if we contribute to the costs of that ?
Cor, what a lot of people gushing about how good this forum is, it’s enough to make you sick. So all I can do is to agree with every comment made on how good, friendly, sensible (most of the time) useful and informative this Forum is and I am another that has to read it every day and get quite disappointed when there aren’t many new posts.
I would be more than happy to make a contribution to help it to continue but I’m afraid I am unable to physically help due to my total ineptitude to technology, I can’t even do a post quoting from another post without losing everything I’ve already written (with my two finger typing)
Mark I would like to add my thanks to you for all you’ve done and I think after 25 years you probably deserve a rest, and thanks to all the moderators and regular contributors whom I’ve never met or spoken to but feel we’re all a bunch of mates down the pub being very boring to everyone but ourselves. Any way better stop now I’m even making myself sick, cheers Mark.
