Ahhh,,, yeah,,,,, I should hope there was nothing under the Banjo Bolt !
Never mind Joel, we live and we learn !
Fingers are crossed now... lol
I just put the engine back in her not long ago!
Was not looking forward to having to pull it again.

I can't take credit for what others built- all I can do is try to put her back on the road.
You just can't fix stupid... you can hide it sometimes though...
Well, life has thrown me a curveball...
I've been dealing with my wife being ill, so I didn't get a chance to check my valve out again until today.
I have a ball bearing & spring setup in my engine.
Pulled it apart- and the spring came out easily.
The ball bearing stayed in place.
Used a screwdriver to dislodge the ball bearing... and took it out as well.
The bearing looks smooth, no crud built up on it.
The hole had a bit of crud in it.
Cleaned... back together.

I'm sorry to hear your wife has not been well. I trust she'll be OK, please pass on my best to her.
The Ball Bearing type Valve is not standard or a factory part. Almost certainly, the spring will be too long but it's pointless shortening it as it then won't have enough coils left in it to let the Ball come back past the Port to let the volume of Oil by-pass the system. The other issues are in the link I left a few posts back.
Fit a stock Valve and Spring back in it. You are doing yourself and your engine no favours what so ever leving it in there.
