Yep and proudly so! Absolutely nothing against MINIS, quite the contrary and like many on here have owned them too BUT Blyton has always been about Classic Minis because it’s primarily and unashamedly a classic car event and to invite modern cars to take part would just completely change the whole concept, it’d just be like every other Mini event as opposed to the unique event I think it is today.
We do get the odd ‘modern’ sneaking onto the track but generally speaking most people who attend do ‘get it’ and probably attend because it’s a classic car event. In the early years we did get complaints from MINI owners but that’s pretty much disappeared as it’s become established.
Of course the main reason we can do this is that we’re not run by a committee and neither are we a business who are duty bound to increase their appeal by including modern cars.
I can’t see any reason to change it though we’re always open to suggestion!

So long as health issues clear up I’ll definitely be there as helper, marshal, general digs body.

Marshals always welcome, we've leaned on Jan and John (who aren’t even forum members) a little too much over the years, they definitely deserve a break.
