Yes, I had to swallow my pride & stump up the £200 and odd quid to become an honorary southerner
Haaaa Honorary southerner , if it was a southerner coming up to Harewood he would need a passport once in Gods own County
.
Mark Just looked at the $$$$$$ for spectators £25 each for one day or £40 each for two days
, so if me and Janet came for the weekend and booked a hotel + fuel + food , it would be heading up towards £300 , i think i will pass , been before and it's a good hillclimb , BUT $$$$$$ for entry !!! ,it is southern rates
have to rent out your whippet , Goff
and mi flat cap , just keep going to Harewood Hill Climb @ £12.50 a pop , great day out with friendly people

Harewood’s great of course but just seems abit of a waste of breath to moan about an event you’re not actually going to.
. Any other events you’re not going to Goff you’d like to get off your chest!?

Pete Flanagan
I am not moaning about the event , we was going to go , until i went on the webb page for tickets ( as i said to expensive ) it's a great event i have been three times before for the whole weekend , MOANING
YES about the price on the GATE , sure it was £15 before , BUT heyo i aint bothered about meeting these iconic drivers either or dreaming about the cars they once drove , But everyone is different
.
Any other events you are not going to Goff !!! NONE ,if any event are south of Sheffield or £25 and over to get in , count me out
.
Just checked Google maps and Blyton is not south of Sheffield , so i will be going next year AND will put my £25 in the bucket , that would have got me into Shesley Walsh for a day , like i said Peter it's the principal

Only realised when the competitors list came that `any mini' could be in what I thought when I put my application in was a class for `Cooper S' only mini's - well at least I can see you all go off and in the pre 71 class I have a Shelsley paddock garage - should be a great event hopefully lots of mini will come along
Youve lucked out there then Julian because the rest of us might need a big brolly!

I've been a member since 1974 and it doesn't always work.
Got an entry but just had to give it up,,,. Ferrari got in my way and they are valued and long term customers.
Very disappointed but you can't win em all.
So that's possibly two entries going begging.
T
Sorry to hear that Trev, Vitamini next year then!?

Paddock plan, all the red numbers are Minis!! We’re all on grass, might be worth bringing a shelter if you have one!

Quite possibly as retirement is promised for the end of August and then blissful peace in the workshop and no more Bl**dy flights for a while.

To be accurate with you all. Shelsley Walsh is in the Midlands. Between Honorary Southerners and Honorary Northerners.
Was born a Southerner but am descended from Northerners. A foot in both camps but I do agree that event prices are excessive. But they've "got to make a bob or 2!"
See some of you at the weekend.

Looking like a wet one this year!! Remember all Minis are on the grass so if you’re bringing a shelter make sure it’s well strapped down! Look forward to seeing you all which ever day you turn up.

Hasn’t been that wet today. Just very damp. Great number of Mini’s at the event. Pictures to follow tomorrow evening. Great yellow A30/35 with ENORMOUS AMERICAN engine.

It wasn't wet today while I was there! The event has a unique atmosphere thanks to the effort the PR team put in.. Great to see such a large turnout of Minis in the Paddock area. Disappointed on behalf of the Mini fraternity at the apparent lack of Minis in the "Club/Concours" areas but did my bit with Peter Hicks; representing rally cars. I think there were about 4 Minis in the concours area in the end. I am sure that lots of images will be posted online soon. Must download my images soon but it's all Bins day tomorrow so must leave computer.
