It's a difficult colour to photograph without it looking like Island blue.

However:

Nah, island blue is a much nicer colour! Biased, moi? :D

Mind you it does look a lot like island blue in those pictures, the MGB does show the true darker shade of blue.

I always thought that of all the colours BL came up with at that time, Teal Blue was the one colour which suited every car in the range. EVERY BL car looked OK in Teal Blue :)

Even the crap ones looked OK

That is a lovely looking MK3. Congratulations on what you have achieved.

Teal blue was the colour of the 1st company "Pool" car I got to drive in 1975. One of 2 Marina automatics acquired by the fleet manager in 1975 with his company Rover V8 - the original 3 for 2 deal - 2 blue Marinas plus the V8.

I fell in love with Teal Blue many years ago when I saw a feature in Practical Classics about an MG Midget restoration. It was Teal Blue round wheel arch with Ochre trim. I even remember the registration number- EIJ 1110! Always wanted a Teal Midget but never managed it!

Always like Teal Blue too.

Dad had a '72 Mk3 1800 Landcrab in Teal when I was a kid.

Thank you for all the nice replies!

Now the car is back on its wheels!

Waiting for new interior from Newton commercial in Navy colour. The cars interior was original green, but i really dont like it, and as the optional reclining seats only come in Navy and black i chose navy, as it was a colour it could have had originally with teal blue exterior.

Engine and gearbox is next to get attention, the engine has been rebuilt at some point, it has been bored to +060 head ported and bigger valves. Some high duration cam, witch make it almost impossible to drive in city traffic, will be replaced with a swifttune sw5 or 8 i think.

Gearbox jump out of 1st gear under heavy acceleration, so something is obviously wrong.
