I would fit 5/8 rear cylinders, see how pedal feel is and if you want it better fit the 5/8 master cylinder, I think if you have 3/4 rear cylinders you will also need the correct rear bias valve as well.

Existing m/c isn’t functioning anyway so needs replacing.
I see Somerford do the 998 Cooper one for non-servo-ed discs so like you say, maybe that’s a good punt
