Bit of in car from the first timed run, all over the place, only thing I can find wrong at the moment is a little play in the bottom inner suspension joint.

My usual probelm at Shelsley is not attacking 'Bottom S', I don't think Ive EVER gone into there fast enough. Usually because even in the dry you can arrive there and find it isn't!! (and it wasn't on Saturday) Better to under-do it than end up in the sleepers.. My other problem is consistently crap starts and Saturday was no exception. You did very well Tim!

I managed a 40.45 on the day fluffing my gear change into bottom S (told you! ) so maybe could have caught Dave West. Here's all of Saturday's times from the variety of Minis :

Mike Gallery 36.38
Matt Clark 37.14
Graham Hill 38.01
Dave West 39.15
Pete F 40.45
Tim Brook 40.55
Paul Jones 41.69
Andy Clark 41.78
Ian Hunt 43.95

It was good to see you Pete on Saturday. The Minis put on a great show, the heavier rain on Sunday morning certainly made things interesting!

Yep it did, though the downside was it kept alot of punters away. Seemed pretty quiet compared to previous years.

Struggling to get off the line...

Big engine, single Weber I think. lightweight and on slicks. The tyres are a huuuuge advantage and Mike is a very experienced driver. His car was in the Mini class but is usually in the saloons and sports class which is pretty informal/unregulated anyway.

Matt is super quick, his wet times were quicker than most of the other Minis dry times.
