This is what I have experienced as well. The MS stuff is better but even then I had to cut it down in "my quest for perfection". Perfection isn't really my goal, just something that you don't have to "fix" before you can use it....
If you start with the MS part it can be thinned down to work but it is a PITA.

I must of been really lucky with my minispares seals as the windows close perfectly. Infact I could of done with them being thicker in some places as were a few small gaps between the seal and frame

Have to agree about the quarter light seals mine when on no problem (2 years ago)

Just after a bit of an update on these seals
I am refitting the opening 1/4 lights on my ‘65 Elf, the windows won’t shut on the seals fitted to the car, but am sure the seals are NOT the correct ones, I believe the part number is ALA5897, but I’m seeing different prices for the item from different suppliers,ie Somerford, Minispares and even Moss, so am wondering which is the best supplier to go to.
