from us there are many mountains, but few can be climbed by car, The Suiss Alpine passes vary from 500 meters above sea level to 2478m.
In my region (canton Ticino) we have the second lowest (Monte ceneri 554 S.l.m), and the highest (Nufenen 2'478 S.l.m).
This in the picture is the St. Gotthard pass.
But Pikes Peak is really impressive ... 4'302 m .. really nice.

I went up with Whee to the Pikes Peak when he went up in the grey/white Wolseley 1000 in his photo. I've also done the run in a Moke.
In Colorado there is even a higher drive than Pikes Peak. Next year the national Mini Meet is in Colorado. Plan to go and plan for some high drives!

Not MY Mini as the thread heading asks but does this qualify as the highest a Mini has been taken?
Caption says:
The works Morris Cooper S #144 Timo Makinen/Paul Easter 41st and #178 Simo Lampinen/M Wood. Plane is the Douglas DC4 based ATL-98 Carvair.

This now makes 2 Minis I have driven above 14,000 feet 12 years apart. Neither of them ran very well the last 3,000 feet of so!
That is impressive ! Great photos !!
In 2015 I lead a trip through our Snowy Mountains (yes, we do get snow down under too !). Here's a photo of the group at Cabramurra, Australia's highest town;-
Though, earlier that day, we all were within 'shot' of Mt Kosciusko, Australia's highest Mountain and as high as one can legally drive in this country. At 7300 odd feet, it does fall well short of Pikes Peak !

Not the highest the car(s) have been, but one of the highest photos.
Napoleon Pass on Mont Cernis in the Alps on the way back from winning the Italian Job rally in 2014.

In the early 80’s I helped a friend restore his Moke. We then set off for a trip to France including a drive up to the Pic du Midi in the Pyrenees at 2877 metres. The track stopped short of the top so we had to walk the last 100 metres or so but still pretty high. I don’t’ recall any problem with the trip even though the Moke was standard and on road tyres. All good fun!

I think it's safe to say that the highest place any of my sixteen Minis have ever been is up on the ramps at Southam Mini & Metro...!

Not to one up you Peter… but I did Mt Blue Sky in my 69 Morris 998 and the summit parking lot is at 14,130’. The actual summit reaches 14,265’.
The little 998 ran pretty well all the way to the top. Coming down was an absolute riot. Sadly I don’t have any photos (hard drive crash).
Maybe MOTR can put a ride together to picnic at the summit! Not that I have a road going car I could join with.
