It really is the best I could aspire at. 997 Cooper, pre-Cooper S... Downton conversion... unrestored... perfectly usable and huge fun to drive... can't think of any more boxes to tick!

Here's another interesting bit about it. The accelerator mechanism.
It's a lever system, that does away with the cable. I guess it would be easy to do on a LHD car as the pedal itself is just under the inlet.

Again, sorry about the quality... will do better!

The pedal has a neat roller, and multiple holes to bolt the rod (that goes through the bulkhead - yellow outline) to.

That is certainly an interesting modification and I've never seen or heard of that before, although I am sure with the knowledge and experience on the forum there will be someone who knows about it.With regard to the roller on the accellerator pedal is there ny sign that an 'organ peddle' may have been fitted at one time, similar to those marketed by Cosmic?
Or is the carpet complete on the floorand there are no holes in the panels?

That throttle pedal looks very much like an MG TD pedal, maybe modified to fit?

Was planning on doing a video of the car, but it's wet out today, so will have to wait.

Sun visors were replaced with really big ones... on the standard mounts. They're too big in fact. You can't see a thing with those down!...
But nicely made. With the crease on the side...

Rust on right A panel is the worst bit on the car. No perforation.

Anybody have an idea about the door mirror?

Congrats on finding such a unique as well as wholly original tuned Mini. You sir are a lucky man.

That outside mirror looks like it could be a locally produced aftermarket item - I've never seen one like it before (with that interesting VW Beetle heater control vinyl covering textured mounting plinth). To be honest, I don't think it really works on a Mini and instead seems better suited to a larger, more squarely shaped car.

I don’t either!... and am considering removing it.
Unless It turns out to be some period item.
But now you mention it, there’s a lot of 70’s VW to it...
