Great news.Drumbogle wrote:Mark F: The holes size may perhaps be a bit of an 'optical illusion' in the photos. Undoubtedly the holes are worn, however, the correct nuts are nowhere near bottoming out and each holds it's wheel firmly at normal torque. I'll continue to travel hopefully ...

Re: 1275GT Rostyle Wheels Colour
Just to add to your comment to Mk1/Mark drumboogie. It's not that the nuts hold the wheel tight and don't bottom out, but don't bottom out on what? The wheel stud not bottoming out inside the wheel nut - or the tapered wheel nut not bottoming out, through the large hole, onto the hub flange/wheel seating. The holes are definitely oversize and the now larger diameter decreases the contact area of the nut taper in/on the wheel taper. And it's this large tapered area that is the friction between the nut, the stud and the wheel.
Might be perfectly OK of course and my mentioning this might be totally unfounded. But just be a bit wary I'd say

I know this is getting a bit off the topic of "GT Wheels Colour" but, just to confirm to Peter L, using my wheels and new nuts, the nuts do not bottom out on drive flange. Time will tell ...Peter Laidler wrote:It's not that the nuts hold the wheel tight and don't bottom out, but don't bottom out on what?
