Feeling old and cant be bothered with the drive home. Besides, in each of my last 3 events, it was a good job I had it; alternator failure, ball joint failure and alternator failure again
This will be the last run out for a while. I have a few plans for the old girl

Final shout for entries for this year's event. Your chance to compete against some of the top minis in the country. The entry list will be closed 5pm Monday.
Final small parts fitted to car today. It's had quite a bit or stuff done to it since it was last out at Blyton, rebuilt gearbox, upgraded carbs and fuel system, new front brakes, 10" wheels, better seats, different heater and a host of other improvements.

Spending tomorrow studying old rally routes and how the time card works. Looking forward to Saturday as it looks like we are going to have a dry, but cold day.

No selfie stick, wouldn't want to risk cracking the lens with my ugly mug!!!!!

When I first saw photo i thought "What happened next but could not see any gold!" Have a great event. i'm sorry I can't be there.
To finish first you should first finish. Get the wheels and maps in line.
Excellent day, and night out. Cocked up on a couple of the tests and lost time. Ran the road section on time but recorded three code boards incorrectly. Ended up 4th of 7 in our group. The weather stayed dry so it did help, if it had been wet there is no way we could have kept on time. The car ran fine with nothing dropping off or failing. The underside has taken a bit of a battering as we grounded the car a few times, just got to clean it now and start preparations for Blyton.
As usual Niall and his team did a great job. The tests had great variety with slow technical and fast open ones. The night route was good taking us around Northumbria with open country lanes were you could get a move on. Code boards were hidden well in some places as a few crews had to retrace their steps to find them. And at the end an excellent venue had been chosen with a great buffet.
And finally thanks to all the marshals for standing around in the freezing cold to mark our time cards.
Cracking event as usual, better than some so-called 'top' events. Very cold night and full marks to the marshals standing out just so we can have some fun!! Usual excellent finish venue. Good battle at the front with myself with Andy Pullan, Graham and Ali and Pete and Neil.
Drove like an absolute stump, embarrassing, on the tests leg , but had a good run in the evening to end up with a surprise win, my man Andy very happy to win the event, and myself happy to chalk up my third win on the event, all done in different Minis!
Niall and team did it again. Another top event, great tests, great route and excellent organisation. And to think I nearly had a year out, what a mistake that would have been.
But geeky, but a question for GraemeC. Were you running Castro R this year? I'm sure I got a whiff of it a few times and your car seemed to be the common denominator. May all of been in my head mind.
