Very american hotrod. Well, you kiwis do tend to be quite short, shorter than Jeremy Clarkson.
Nice photos, always liked the Austin A30/35 - full of character it is, but maybe rolls too easy, unless you chop the roof....

I think they look quite cool with the chopped roof. Here are a couple more - the one in front had a Vanguard 6 engine and the following one had an old type Vauxhall Victor engine. This one is still around. There was another one with a 1340 Ford engine.

..and the speedo doesn't work, for some reason....
Re: A35 pictures, as requested
..and very low final drive, 4.1:1, or 4.35:1? or....
and yes, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mQINhMvf_8#t=6m00s, it worked.
Poor, poor A35, rolled over as usual, as a typical Austin!

Re: A35 pictures, as requested
No its not the Red GT, its a round nose, as its the 65 class.
I think it would be some challange, to get a GT homologated into the 65 class.
Here is what he did during practice,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKc_iuAH ... re=related
and still did he go from 22 place upto 6, before they stopped the race.
Yes they did run very low ratios, on the old track, not shure what ratio thou?
the new straight, is 800m--not good for the Mini,s
The little A35 is now restored, and returned to Copenhagen Historic GP 2009
but this time, only to do a "show round" so all could see it was "back"
Thanks again for that little smart "trick" regarding time, very cool
