As the nearest to 'prune' colour vinyl had to be specially ordered in he had to buy a minimum of 3 sets which worked out around £30 per pair.

Here are a couple of pairs of NOS vinyl stripes in red , I have had these in a box since the mid 70s ,Made by 3 M Scotch, Even instructions how to fit also, I don't know if these would be any good after all these years but would look good taped to the garage wall i guess , How they fitted was you used the backing as a guide , It fitted right along the seam and it was curved to go up the arches , You can just see the curve on the photo, Hope this helps .
Blaze cars did have the dark blue stripes also , I had one on a J plate in the early 70s .

Interesting......thanks for posting the extra info Goff.

Note: The two spare sets of GT stripes have now been sold to Mk1 forum members. :D

I just found the invoice for the Jem Vinyl £15 not £10 , but still cheap .They have great big printing machine that takes inks like you have in the home printer , He said the cartridge cost over £100 a time , prints on vinyl for 40 foot lorry's .

Glad these worked out okay, I still have some 'Prune' vinyl in stock, if anyone needs a set.

Thanks to everyone who has contacted me. I have three sets left now, DM me if you want a set. If there is demand for more I can order the vinyl in but will need some firm orders as it's the most expensive vinyl you can buy - typically.
Thanks
