Looks like a start. Not sure how to get an even coat over the whole surface though, might take a bit of elbow grease.
Cannot imagine why you would need it on Titanium though, it is one of the most corrosion resistant metals there is.

They're cheap enough, and I have 5 wheels so, try it out on one to see how it goes, I guess. Good catch, I'd think it would be a waste of money on titanium.

Oh and I forget to mention but it's pertinent, one still has a Yokohama on it that's still held air for however long it's been on, so that's a good sign. They're not totally Swiss cheese.

Caswell products are excellent. I have used a good few of them & have always been very pleased with the results & the help & advice they have offered.

As far as the wheels are concerned. a gentle blast, treat 7 paint should keep them in good fettle for many years. If you do want to use them, I would suggest getting them crack tested too.

I ahve to be honest & say that I am not the greatest living fan of using original mag wheels, but as long as they are ion good condition & have been looked after / treated correctly they can be fine.

For day to day use though, I don't think you can beat the Minispares ST wheel as it is now called.

These won't just fizz away to nothing.

Thanks for the added color on Caswell, I'll ask them about the wipes, and post any good info they give me.

For now, I just want to get them blasted and protected from oxidation. Just ready for some occasional static use, to showcase the knock-offs. In the future I may have them tested and do a rare cruise with them. But otherwise sticking to the original painted wheels and the rosepetals.

I already have too many wheels! If 4 more show up at the house, I'm sure my wife will have me sleeping out in the barn with them.

I spoke to support over at Caswell and they said that it would take 2-3 wipes per wheel. And as long as you make sure they are nice and clean you will get results just as nice as the spray kit they offer. So, that's a good bit of savings if you have a small project.

Better call him today then, if you want it done this decade
