Friday is practice day, but I think there is at least one race as well. Generally a bit less crowded, so well worth it.
Pete, I shall endeavour to record the necessary details for you...
I understand there is a celebration of the mini this year. (skirt not car) - I shall report back.

So we've decided to go only on Saturday. However, I haven't got an outfit. Does anyone know a place in London where such could be picked up?
I guess the best outfit would be as a German WW2 fighter plane pilot, that'd get you attention 73 years ago

If you don't want to bankrupt yourself find the nearest charity shop, buy a houndstooth jacket, then all you need to buy new is a hat / flat cap, pair of trousers, brown / black shirt tie and shoes, personally I don't like the outfits that go to far towards 'fancy dress', the whole point is to try to get the crowd to look like they would when the circuit was originally active, not to be looking like a Russian General / full US Navy Admiral in Dress whites ect ect

Luckily I've still got my 1960s clothes so don't have to buy/rent any
Actually, the cheapest/easiest way is probably just a pair of white overalls with a motoring related badge or two and a flat cap to finish it off?

Tacky Elvis outfit with wig and sidies is what you need from the fancy dress shop. And people actually do do that!
Swifty's crew all in Italian Job suits was a good idea, taking the gold out the back of the Mini on the grid. Roger Wills' crew all wear Russian military gear don't they ? If they pass you a fresh brew, don't drink it!

The Team outfits are normally very good, some of the crowds aren't....

If / when I go...I've got my dads 1969 wedding suit....and it fits
Have fun if you're going, I will make the journey one of these years (although the Members meeting is getting more tempting)

I must admit given the choice between the 2 (having been to both) the Members Meeting is a far more relaxed event, and my preference now (because the crowd numbers are like the revival when it started
)

I'll be there on Saturday! Me and 9 more miniacs from Portugal!
Can't wait...
does anyone knows if paddock area is accessible ? I've got a Roving GrandStand ticket.
That nice Mondosport racer could have a "more period" rocker cover!
Cheers
Luis

Luis,
You need a paddock pass and technically a GRRC members badge for access. I am at the show for all three days with my brother and we are both members so if you are keen to see the pits we can get 2 in at a time as guests as long as you are dressed suitably. PM me and I will give you my mobile number.

that's a very kind offer ian!
also luis, don't forget to get access to the aeroplane part - its near the pits
this will get you as close as possible to the air display - well worth it!!! (better than the racing nearly!)

Having missed a few years I've lucked in for Sunday with a hospitality invite for my oldest and I from his friend's parents
Looks like I'll miss Jason Plato in a Cooper S as the St. Mary's Trophy race 1 must be Saturday - that sounds like an entertaining combination to me! (Wonder if James Martin will still have a car to drive on Sunday?
)
Nice drive over to Goodwood from Mid Sussex on a Sunday morning too...
