What a show. Spent 3 days on site and had a blast. Met some really decent folk, very chilled out atmosphere and the Bogus Brother were superb. I will add some pics later. Cheers. Mark. PS If anybody has any footage of the Jet Car or can send a link please do. My very disappointed 6 year old lad missed it each time as we were back at our caravan and couldnt get back in time.

I had a great three days, it does tend to pass in a massive blur as im working so hard and its just a constant stream of 'faces' (so sorry to anyone who spoke to me and I looked blankly at them!)

I managed to escape for a bit on Saturday and Sunday for a quick mooch, but didn't really look at ay of the cars at all.

a few of us managed to get back on Saturday night to have a few pints 'on site' and have a look at what was going on - oddly I quite like the 'light display' cars as it was quite fun just to look at them in the dark

the bogus brothers where great, they really knew how to get the massive crowd jumping, that's for sure.

the site was ideal for the IMM, nice concrete roads for the minis to drive around, a decent venue hall etc - I bet the organisers are really patting themselves on their backs - and with good reason!

It was a cracking weekend ! if only i had made it in the mini....(which isnt quite finished yet  - hopefully ready for Stanford hall !). We didn't get there until 10.30pm on the Thursday night and only just made it into the campsite before the 11pm cut off ! by all accounts we were lucky, as w didnt encounter the 3hr queue to get in during the afternoon.....

Some lovely foreign cars, with very distinct style. Here are my photos form the weekend....

As said a great show and venue. A fantastic amount of cars and very well organised by the SMOC. The weather helped. :-)

Low points,
Men who could not afford shirts.
That audio stall that was making too much noise.
All those traders selling shitty stuff that they had written "mini" on with a biro or marker pen.

High Points,
The blue sprint from Belgium.
Prototype moke without box section sides.
The 59's.
Talking to the guy from Guessworks, I can actually afford to pay someone to fix something.
Mini Spares stand. Was I the only one who spotted their development alloy head?

Funny things,
mokes with wireless radios and heaters, maybe useful when stationary.
The Paddy Hopkirk range of products.

ahem..........

it was a bit hidden away in the 'museum' bit of the stand and not many customers noticed the little teaser..........

its been a load of work, that's for sure, and im proud to say that some of the input that I made has made it onto the final development head, though im still nagging for one more of my ideas to appear on it......

we where able to use a lot of what we learnt on the 'new' arden on the five port with respect to casting and machining, and it looks as if its going to be a good and fairly economic option for people.
