"We are told by the vendor, the upgraded/updated mechanicals of this Mini “were built by Paddy Hopkirk’s own engineer." Is it me? I am guided by a member of this forum who suggests, as they say on the BBC website - Fact checking!

Got to be worth more than a Heinz as it's a Crayford but much rarer and it’s Taurus tuned. Gone to a very good home.

I wonder....Whilst true the river is over its banks in recent days the showground buildings and parking to the right of the inner road from the main entrance are too high to be affected. Perhaps they dont wish to use the back entrance to site as a consequence. However the road directly across the main entrance is closed thanks to HS2, so the ONLY route in is from Stoneleigh village bridge. I suspect the reason is the police just dont want the grief of locals complaining about local roads being jammed for 3 days.
I was showing at the MG Triumph spares day 10 days ago. A much smaller visitor event and then the visitors were complaining about the painful approach times.

Quite like the van, needs some TLC ….looks as if they have just thrown it back together for the auction. Is it the light or is the inside of the load area a different colour to the in side of the doors ?

Definitely not Glacier White. Too creamy. Glacier White is a very stark shade - like a domestic appliance!

Silverstone results : in some respects it’s good to see the back of the £20k basket case and the £50k flat packs of the last few years keeping many out of the market but not necessarily good for the restoration and spare parts market. Who knows, only time will tell…

It's either Ermine white or Arum white - the former changed to the later in 1981.

Older Mini Vans were Leyland white until 1979, ish.

The white 1970 1275GT does it for me. It's identical to the one (Sept 70) my Dad bought in early 1972 to replace a 998 Cooper.

The 1959 850 Mini Deluxe 6920 AR was sold today at CCA for £17250 all in, will be driven, be taken to shows, and kept in a Mini Collection for the future.

It went quite cheap I thought. Hopefully someone has the link to post, but the guy who bought it had a big smile on his face as he stood up ;-)
