well there does seem to be some reference to leyland special tuning for dunlop 918, part no. aht182, rims, however they are still reverse rims, not cooper s rims, 5 of which i have sitting in the garage that i'm struggling to give away! i did message the seller suggesting someone was going to be disappointed. surely you wouldn't spend £270 on 4 rusty wheels without doing the research!

i still can't bring myself to call my wheels cooper s rims for the sake of a sale, and cunningly show no side on shots into the wheel so you can tell they are reverse rims........ its a bit fraudulent!

I had a set of 5" rims. These still had the larger part of the offset on the outside. If it was the other way around, I'd cut a finger off for a set.
Reverse rims look silly on S brakes. To call them S wheels is downright misleading IMO.
I do like the look of those (weller? ) plain 6" wheels (which I assume you can fit normal hubcaps to).

I would love to restore one, not sure what I'd do with it afterwards though?

I do like that Ant. But the "few chipped teeth" in the differential sound expensive!

The prices of steel wheels have reached a whole new level of insanity!!!
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CLASSIC-MINI- ... true&rt=nc
Insane, considering these are just Weller 6" hoops with Mini centres welded to them. Weller still sell hoops and I've got plenty of standard rims kicking about.

I've just asked who's bought it as I may well have some parts and certainly some knowledge to assist them. I've seen this one and mechanically it was bad, very bad.... and mis-matched parts that were swapped to restore his other one.

Sweet! But you'll have to sell an awful lot of them to make that money back.

I used to be a director of a sweet packing company. Sweets are pretty cheap. You're looking at about £3-4kg for a lot of it
I wouldn't recommend it as a business though.
