Yes it is a Wiltshire registration, the car has never been out of Swindon, it was supplied by G and K Barnes of Dauntsey near Swindon, a few of you may remember Gordon Barnes, he used to race a Cooper s back in the sixties , the car has only been owned by a brother and sister , both in their eighties and then me for the last 31 years, I have always done any work on the car since the warrantee ran out, I bought the car off of the old man ran into a curb stone that some kids had put in the middle of the road when it was dark, it only cracked the gearbox casing and broke a lug off the remote, so of course it was written off by the insurance and he was given £700 for the car but was allowed to keep the car, there was no other damage, there was no catageries then so the v5 is not marked, just seemed a shame to let it go for scrap even back then, even though it was only worth a few pennies.
Great information Colin thanks. So is it located in Aberdeen as per the Ebay advert or is that an error ?.
Sorry I'm getting threads mixed up, apologies Colin. I'm a numpty.

This 1275GT has sat on the driveway of a very nice house local to me and has not moved from the spot for over 10 years. Sadly it now has green mould growing on it and flat tyres...

Martin, re the photo above. Maybe it jst needs a knock at the door and a few words and a promise to restore it would do the trick. Never worked for me befoe but you never know.

I've been watching this, no bids suggest reserve set too high, at least that's how I see it. If it had started at 10k I reckon it would have generated much more interest. Others have pointed out some details before. The interior has been replaced with incorrect colour for Black Tulip, maybe makes no difference but for £15k I think it does.

You may well be right. On the interior, both Beige (which I think was an option on Black Tulip cars) and Autumn Leaf are also available from Newton but not to everybody's taste...

Nope other than the commission and chassis number plates ...even the sunroof looks like its from a British Open Classic or later Rover Cooper.
