Re: Wood & Picket Info
I suppose so, just new wings would make a big improvement! Wonder what happened to OGO 668E and NPL 660D? I did have a colour photo of the latter (it was gold/Sand in colour) but buggered if I can find where I put it.

It's a genuine mk1 W&P. Why anyone thinking calling it a Replica Radford would be an improvement is beyond me. The car would have looked something like this originally.

Yepp - agree.
well atleast he kept the original paperwork.
Now lets hope the new owner either "loose" the headlamps, or finish the job to correct W&P spec/design.

Hmm - more news =
a certain person we both know, told me on the phone the other day, that the car is a "bitza" made from W&P parts, that came from a different car.

Steve's garage in Epsom was branded the Wood & Pickett centre and he even went on the Italian Job Mini run with Mike Bush in his latest Wood & Pickett Mini conversion demo car, as featured on the cover of the then relatively new Miniworld magazine. I have a long video on dvd of the preparation of the W&P Mini for the event and of their adventures getting to Italy and back.....LLA 24V wrote: Mike Bush & Marc Eden had a good run at revitalising the W&P name during the 90's with some great cars & customer car re-furbs.
Leatherhead started with good intentions, but are really just a shiny parts business today.
I still have some info from the Epsom days of W&P that I will try to dig out, scan and post here sometime.
For interest I have scanned a copy of an advertising flyer from the Mike Bush /Steve Bell W&P era in Epsom, Surrey.
As you can see at that time the Epsom workshops had to include everyday customer car servicing and repairs......there was not enough business to rely solely on the new and existing coachbuilt Mini customers work.
I remember J822HPB the superb W&P demonstrator Margrave Mini was often parked in and around the workshop on show for the potential coachbuilt Mini buyers. This W&P Margrave was driven by Mike Bush and Steve Bell on the 1993 Italian Job and was recently featured in the MCR Cooperworld magazine awaiting to be recommissioned.
I wish I had taken photos of the various W&P Mini's that came and went during that time but of course this was still pre-digital camera /phone and internet days so sadly we rarely remembered to take many photos of the everyday scenes for future posterity! If any should turn up I will add them to this thread.
The Epsom workshop was sadly compulsory purchased by the council a few years later, demolished and re-developed into the site of a shopping centre and office complex, although they did help re-locate the garage to another part of Epsom.

That's Sandie Shaws car VLX 6G. Someone posted on some blog to have a very similar car locked away. Fingers crossed.
Thanks for posting!
Here's a clearer photo. Minus Jeff Banks leaning on it!

Re: Wood & Picket Info
I don't know what that car really is but I do remember it being advertised locally to us a few years ago (for not much more than 10% of the current asking price!) and no mention being made of any "coachbuilder". It was just regarded as a customised Mini which rather devalued it in most peoples eyes....
