Looking at the extra photo's now on the Manor Classics website it looks to have the higher seat belt mounts.

First registered March 1964, it could have been kicking round for a while. It still looks like a very good bet to me.

Pretty early 998 that isn’t it, had one similar. Chassis and engine number add up to about Jan/Feb 64. Would be pretty unusual to have high seat belt mounts by that point but who knows…

I think you're being a bit harsh with the poor old thing but those front seats are really nasty aren't they and make you wonder about the rest of it
HOW on earth does it have so much negative camber on the front wheels !
The woodwork doesn't look too bad but you'd have to remove it to restore the car and I wonder how well it would survive that?
Yes, you're right. It is what we used to call "rough" isn't it. I do quite like the Estate versions and I quite like a Mk2 but I bet that one needs a lot of work under the horrible paintwork.

I think someone has a good mini for a good price. A shell repair in all the typical places, repaint and any mechanical replacement would be more than the purchase price. A colleague of mine has just paid £8000 for some body repairs and a respray for a 2002 Honda S2000. I nearly fell off my chair when he told me. Fools and their money!!

There are plenty of details "wrong" on that Mk1 Cooper to a purist, but I agree, it looks a decent buy for the money.

Honda S2000s are highly desirable and valuable cars now. A good example is worth a lot more than £8000 If your colleague likes the car, that is money well spent.
