I have one of the printed at the bottom of a letter ones and kicked myself after cutting the disc out. I should've colour copied it and kept the letter whole.

I've got a 31 10 2014 one. It cost me over £250, I'll let it go for £25 including P&P. ;)

I knew the owner/restorer of that car (Steve Rothwell) very well and saw that in bare metal. Being as fussy as he was I'd be surprised if he'd have stuck Morris badges on an Austin though. He originally found it stashed under a railway arch in the centre of Manchester in the early 90s, it was then restored by Steve (no welding I don't think) and it was then sold off at H&H auction by the family after his passing some years ago together with his 1071 and Mk3 S. Both cars just seem to keep going round the auction merry-go-round sadly.

Steve was a lovely bloke & couldn't half screw a Mini together.

It's a shame his cars haven't found a good permanent home.

Ex-Chris Evans - 1964 Austin Mini Mk1
"This 1964 Austin Mini Mk I has been built to Cooper 998cc specification. In 2003, the car was professionally restored by an employee at a leading classic car restoration specialist in Kent. He bored out the engine from 850cc to 998cc and made a number of significant upgrades. These included a fast-road cam, new exhaust system, disc brakes, dry suspension and an original British Leyland straight cut gearbox to name but a few. A large number of bills and receipts are available in the history file.
Silverstone Auctions had the pleasure of selling this car to Chris Evans in the past and he speaks very highly of the way it drives and the fun motoring it provided at the time.
The current vendor reports that he has used 'CBK 445B' only on sunny days and it has been stored in a temperature controlled garage. This car is offered at a competitive price guide and also with a generous share to Pudsey!"
Recently the subject of a recent service, fuel pump and MoT, the current vendor reports that he has used 'CBK 445B' only on sunny days and "It has entertained me immensely on the local roads around my home. The more you push it the better it gets!"

Buyers should be aware that 10% of the hammer proceeds will be donated to the Sporting Bears Charity by our vendor:

"This little car has raised a lot of money for Children in Need by the generosity of Mr Chris Evans and the subsequent owner, and so I thought I would like to continue its fundraising tradition by supporting the Sporting Bears Charity by donating 10% of the hammer price achieved in this auction to them."

Auction date: 15th November 2014
No Reserve
