On the forecourt, we have a Ford Cortina Mk3, an Austin Maxi 1750 and a Cortina Mk2. That car’s deadly rival the BMC 1100 (Austin or a Morris?) sits behind – and, nearest to the camera, is a Mk3 Mini (basic 850 judging by the lack of chrome trim around the rear windows?)"

Lovely period photo that, very nice.... the wooden station building was demolished in 1982 by which time it was in a dreadful state, it was replaced by a stone built structure which is still there today, the footbridge is long gone now. The palm trees on the platforms and the 'old school' semaphore signalling and signalbox are still there though.
