Actually, the bracket on the car should be correct for LHD MK1 cars with twin carbs. I don't know what AKD3509/3510 states, but have seen many unmessed with LHD Coopers and Ss that have the same bracket fitted. There are a few members on this forum that can verify this. I always have seen the 14A6734 bracket on LHD 850s (single carb).

Your attention to detail is very inspiring.
I wish I was as meticulous with my pathetic efforts. ;)

Hi Ricardo...

Thanks for the message.. I have to say I did not know that. Actually threre is 2 of thoose original brackets with my car, so guess you´re right, ;) . ( can see se you got the same brackets on your car, and I´m sure you wont do that if it aint correct.)

So until now it will stay on the car then :)

The dash rail was the most difficult one to do I think... So many corners & edges

Looks great! What adhesive are you using? Can't get my lower dash rail to stick and have tried 2 types of glue!

Hi Niel...

Thanks for your kind words..

The first one I tried did not work either. but after that i used the spray from Wurth... It worked very good.. No air holes at all, and you got good time to get the vinyl to fit nicely..

I found it on the web too with a picture...

Wurth poducts are second to none.
A supplier is sometimes difficult to find in the US but it is the best. 3M would be a decent substitute but not as good.
Awesome work Rene' as always.

Rene, you have to use more of the blue ones, they work better.

Status on my rebuild so far..

I did some work on the inside since last time...

The switch carrier in putted on, with the original cables.. Brake/ clutch, and speeder pedals are fitted, wilth the repaired brake / clutch master cylinders.

I also putted in some new sounds insulation, and the front carpets are fitted..

Soon I´ll will be working on putting the engine back, can´t wait for that job.
