No heated screens then, used to dissipate the heat (demist) evenly over the whole windscreen.

Only the earliest cars, heater elements were also used to warm the upcoming air, then once the heated screens arrived, they were used.

The 64 monte cars had the deflector as well as a drivers side only (no Tok switch) windscreen.

Certainly not a record for a mk2 . As some of you may know my mk2 cooper sold for £55k in 2015 . Quite proud of that and at this present time I don’t know or have heard of a higher price achieved… Ken

There is what appears to be a super original and possibly low mileage MkII Cooper S on Bring a Trailer right now. It was a personal export to Canada and one thing that is strange is there is an extra “KC” on the engine tag (that is not on the heritage certificate). Anybody know what that might be??

It looks like the car has optional 1.5” carburetors and someone is speculating that the engine may have had some custom modifications done by the factory that the KC corresponds to. But I have no idea if that makes sense.
