It’s a Cooper rebuilt to S spec isn’t it. A similar and nice looking Mk2 Cooper S struggled to meet reserve at Anglian over the weekend, stalled at £20,500!! Sign of the times I’m afraid.

Not Dutch, but Portugese. We had similar style plates but the Portugese font is slightly different and we never had silver on black.

Some right crap there

The brown GT is about right and worth about that. It looks correct and level.

The 'flamenco' thing is as much of a 1979 1275GT as I am. Wrong colour, wrong trim, wrong everything. It's Damask red which ended in 1977. What's that noise? Sounds like a bell...

The '66 Woody looks as rough as a bears arse close up.

The Clubperson estate isn't much better - Antique gold (Babyshit) and wrong interior.

The VdP 1300 looks very good. It's nice to see one without that awful AP automatic.

The 1100 is a Mark II in Connaught green but has a Mark 1 front panel - easily rectified tbh.

The Metro is alright.

There are so many iffy, badly restored and blatantly wrong Minis about - you can see why anything proper makes the money.

The '66 Woody also has unvented oversills....

The car for sale is not the 63 1071 S
It is the replica that is for sale.
There will be a lot of interest when the 63 1071 does come up for sale 😂
Not mine by the way.

It’s just an engine and logbook for a 1071. To be fair that’s how most 1071s I’ve ever come across started life! They survived in so few numbers.

Where do you start?
The door cards are the right way up, it's the van itself which is upside down... :D

That’s pretty much a carbon copy of what was done to my 988 Cooper at some point. Rear lights hacked out for mk2 ones and the brocade interior dyed black.

Just my kind of Mini that and right on my doorstep! Would love to take it on but I've run out of room. I'd clean up the brocade interior and let someone else have it, keep the car orange and do up the interior like a Radford.

Triple C magazine printed a helpful article on cutting out the Mk1 rear lights to update to Mk2 which inspired me back in the day....also Halfords sold black upholstery paint which did a good job of updating the old fashioned Mk1 coloured vinyl interiors! (see my photos in link below). I still think you can't beat the look of a period modified black Mk1/2 Mini with black Shadowlite windows and really wish I had not sold it to upgrade to a Mk3 with winding windows!
