That "ST" MK3 looks very nice indeed.
The only thing I wonder about is if it is so straight, why has it got a mid 1980's ST sticker on the rockercover if it was converted in 1971.
I hope it comes with some original paperwork to support the claim.

been up for nearly a month now on c&c....used to be John Rhodes road car. I see the current owner has swapped out engine, converted to dry etc (although original parts still available)...has he messed with this too much? newton recliners in there?

Very odd one that. Looks like an interesting car @ a reasonable price. Maybe it's not as good as it looks.

Interesting the wavy reflection on the inside of the "smooth roof"
How much filler went into a smooth roof van (or mini for that matter) from the factory?

Ooooooh, the filler comment is a bit mean isn't it. Im sure a brand new van had little filler in it (nor a £25k price tag
) but surely to god you can't expect anything else after 50 years. The guy is local to me and I've seen the van. It's stunning and arguably better than any restored van I've ever seen. Hopefully any potential buyer will remember to take a magnet in a cloth and do that test the AA used to suggest.

Well spotted re the plate. Was it fitted in 1962?, if so please let me know and I will tell the owner.
I know this car well, it's less than 1 mile from me and I have seen the restoration in progress weekly over 18mths. Quite superb.

Apparently not, didn't stop it selling though apparently.
£25K for a Mk3, sh*t a brick, that's a record I reckon?
