My Mk3 s is just Austin with no Mini Cooper S! But the MOT records it as an Austin Mini Cooper s ??

They were always a bit of an oddball with the understated look and next to zero factory records. I do love their simplicity and ‘sleeper’ style and 70’s colours, with just the rear badge and extra fuel cap the only give away.hanlminiman wrote: ↑Wed Sep 28, 2022 8:46 pm My Mk3 s is just Austin with no Mini Cooper S! Do you know what the heritage certificate shows ?hanlminiman wrote: ↑Wed Sep 28, 2022 8:46 pm My Mk3 s is just Austin with no Mini Cooper S! But the MOT records it as an Austin Mini Cooper s ??
Think the records are that sparse a Heritage cert can’t be issued. I owned another one a few years back and could only get a letter from the MCR confirming the date built and chassis number.Exminiman wrote: ↑Wed Sep 28, 2022 9:51 pmDo you know what the heritage certificate shows ?hanlminiman wrote: ↑Wed Sep 28, 2022 8:46 pm My Mk3 s is just Austin with no Mini Cooper S! Now on Car and Classic with a dealer in Scotland for £35k. Looks like it ended up at £22,781 with buyers premium. Nice little profit for the dealer. Hope they do the primary gear oil seal leak….steve1071 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 28, 2022 5:37 pmNo doubt for sale with a dealer at £30k plus very soon.surfblue63 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 28, 2022 4:23 pm...and a bargain.steve1071 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 28, 2022 3:08 pm https://auctions.hampsonauctions.com/au ... 6&pn=1&g=1
Hammer dropped at £20,250 (plus 15% fees). Looked a beauty......
Best colour too, imo.....
They'll do f*** all in typical dealer fashion. Hate to see this happening but that's how it goes. A couple of hundred to transport it up to Glasgow and the rest is straight profit. Taking the p**s.camshaft2 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 03, 2022 10:00 pmNow on Car and Classic with a dealer in Scotland for £35k. Looks like it ended up at £22,781 with buyers premium. Yep, number plate rings a bell too. Could be a fairly quick flip job. More avid auction watchers might recall it?Exminiman wrote: ↑Thu Oct 06, 2022 8:36 amRecent " blow over" ?steve1071 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 06, 2022 8:27 am Could be a Super at the next Mathewson’s auction?

£5-6 about right considering what might be hidden

Lots of clues to suggest that it is a Super.
Chassis plate also gives a clue

First saw that one hillclimbing at Harewood in about 1995, looked more like a rally car back then, still has some of the dash. Last saw it at Prescott driven very quickly by George Shackleton at the Cooper Car Co doo.surfblue63 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 07, 2022 6:42 pm
First is an FIA Appendix K racer, built for the 2009 Goodwood Revival, and not used much since.
