Seller has now relisted it, as it failed to sell.
Now dropped it to £16,995.
No chance he’s getting that for a 1000, especially in that state, total chancer.

Says VIN Number: KA2545985439 but that’s probably K-A2S4S/985439 which would make it a Morris Mk1 Super-deluxe around April 1967.
Poor photos, but a strange combination of up-market features ?
Electric Mk1 windows with (opening?) quarter lights
Twin tanks but no boot-board brackets visible
Mk2 rear lights but obviously a Mk1 shell
Wheel stance suggests S disks.
Wondering if it might have been a coach-built car in an earlier life...

Re: WTH??!?! Have you seen this item on ebay.
Could be the fact I'm looking at it on my phone but the quarter lights and numberplate pressing in the boot lid look very Aussie to me. But I don't know if they had those features so early, nor whether the VIN wouldn't be something else either.
Of course I know what a dipstick is, you get called something often enough you look it up!

Re: WTH??!?! Have you seen this item on ebay.
Looks like a nice car with a few custom touches.
Pretty impossible to tell from the photos what you'd actually be getting.
A Mk II shell perhaps?? (based on the rear window width as it appears to me). Oz doors with electric window conversions are no big deal (a friend built a couple for his Cooper). Looks like an Oz Clubman dash top with a Rokee (style) wooden dash.
Original identity plate long gone?? (based on incorrect representation).
Still looks like a fun deal.
Cheers, Ian

That was my initial thought too .... I think it's the colour. However....mk1 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 8:23 amThat looks 100% Aussie to me.iain1967s wrote: ↑Mon Jul 31, 2023 9:00 pm https://www.ebay.com/itm/325748955431

The only Oz thing I can really see are the doors. The chassis no is wrong, the drain in the roof corner looks more UK to me (slot as opposed to 2 drilled holes), there doesn't seem to be an indent in the boot lid for the Oz number plate, rear window looks late UK wide and we didn't get the square tailights until the Clubbies came along....
Probably a modded UK Cooper??????? ...or just mutton dressed as lamb. (If it was a real S I'm sure he would have said so...)
And who can tell based on those photos...
Cheers, Ian

It’s a small heater unit by the looks of it, the type regularly fitted in really cars.Oneball wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2023 8:18 amWhat’s been cut into the dash rail under the ash tray?Brynmor wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 9:03 am This looked a bargain as did the 1992 Cooper, kicking myself a bit now https://auctions.hampsonauctions.com/au ... 6&pn=1&g=1

Personally, I would of steered clear, I wonder what the paint and filler hides, bad panel fits and what looks like filler in seams...Not easy from photos, but looks like its had a quick blow over to get it in the sale....Brynmor wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 9:03 am This looked a bargain as did the 1992 Cooper, kicking myself a bit now https://auctions.hampsonauctions.com/au ... 6&pn=1&g=1
