A Mk2 Austin smoking it's way well into the 1970s
That is Stoke bridge Ipswich. My studio is next door to the bell. I’ll post a pic of it now.
Ian, do you own The Stained Glass place ?
Dicky.
Took this tonight, the pub is much the same but is now an undertaker.

When lightin' fags in a car you can't beat a trusty Zippo, even works with the windows down. It can also be used to burn you car to a crisp when it's left you stranded by the side of the road.

Me, aged 3. No wonder I still love minis! This pic taken in 1965. Going by number plate it would been first registered in 1963, although he bought it new in '64.
Taken on a Saturday, on Sunday I was watching dad paint the tyres using a turpentine-based tyre black (as they did in those days). Dad left the paint brush in the tin after he'd finished. When he went inside I decided I'd do him a favour and continue painting the rest of the car (at least as far as I could reach) with the tyre black! He reckons when he later sold it, there were still signs of black paint in the seams etc.
Interesting how high it is sitting at the back too.

My little brother did a similar thing to my dads new Renault Laguna. Tried to help clean the flies of the painted bumper with a Brillo pad!

1970, and a used Island blue '67 Austin Mini awaits complete with Webasto - and a BL warranty. Brave considering the AP automatic box.

July 1970 Shell advert and a nearly new 850/1000 Mark III.
Note the black, not green engine.

THX977F is still with us, but in 1970 it was a very well used, ropey and modified three year old Cooper S.

1970, and an early Mini Minor is used for a fake accident photo shoot. The number plate belonged to an XK150.

That's bent.
Some on here would see that as a “light restoration”
