Thanks Andreas for your fantastic statement. I hope we will meet at the IMM.

@Spitz
I can't say who made these mirrors. They are aftermarket mirrors and were one option to supply newly imported Innocenti Minis in Germany in the 70th with external mirrors to meet our local regulations. Another option were mirrors form HELLA. They look a little different but are out of production since many years.
The mirrors I've installed pop up from time to time on ebay. I've been told they are also quite common on Spitfires.
That's all I know :(

The mirrors were made by a small company in Birmingham UK, Arden Continental, which happens to be part of my families business. I sold the last 8 pairs to a company in Germany perhaps 3 years ago. I think they modify 'convertible' Minis.

If I recall it was the cast spring back bases which we ran out of.

Thank you all for your extremely positive feedback. That strengthens my feelings to have put my effort into the right thing over the last 9 years :D :D

Yes Rich, the parking meter made it as well. But not only a parking meter, to participate at the rocker cover races i did a matching rocker cover racer too.
And you may have seen the Brittas Cooper paper model in a previous post.
And of course a race car is useless without a racing team. To recognize the team i did a set of jackets, hoodies, polos and caps with a "Brittas Cooper Racing Team" logo.

Usually when I start a project, I want to do it completely 8-)

Unfortunately I couldn't join the final IMM party on sunday, but I have been told Brittas Cooper was voted 3rd place in Show & Shine.

Thanks for resurrecting this one Nick!

The Doc's excellent work needs another airing, particularly in light of his latest project.
