How do folks,

Not sure I can commit to 2 days... anyone got any ideas which of the days would be better?

At least it'll be a cheaper day than last year, fuel will be cheaper than tap water by the time we get round to Blyton (well you can dream). :D

I'm sure I asked before, but can't remember the answer: do we need to book for camping spaces?

Nope, just pay on the day Al (£10 I think), they do also have a limited number of electric hook ups (first come first served) for the glampers.

Should be able to give more detail on food etc in the next week or two. We did have a nice meal laid on last year, perhaps we can do that on both Friday and Saturday evening this time. Once we've confirmed with the venue we can publish some prices/menus.

Sadly due to personal commitments Stuart Turner has had to pull out of the Saturday evening talk. I've contacted ex works navigator Mike Wood to see if he'd like the Saturday night spot instead with his wonderful colour works Mini slide show/talk. If you've not seen and heard this you've not lived, it's brilliant! I'll confirm that this week.

Don't forget we still need marshals to volunteer on both days to don a tabbard and do their bit alongside myself and Mark, mainly for the first half of the day.

I'm working on getting a few very special cars to Blyton, watch this space.... ;)

As far as marshalling is concerned, we already have a couple of much appreciated volunteers. Thanks John & Jan! If anyone could possibly spare an hour to help sorting parking out on one of the two mornings it would be a massive help. If we could get 12 kind people to Volunteer over the weekend it would probably get it sorted.

Anyone willing to help, please PM me.

Thanks,

mark

Nice Andy, get that signed at Blyton!

Done a little bit of promo this week so it's all around Facebook at the moment. I suspect it'll start to fill up soon so get your track places booked if you haven't already! Is anyone organising an official MCR presence this year, or '59?

I think the Farmer and the rest of the Scottish contingent are doing something, and a few of us from Newcastle and Durham will be present.

Not sure who's going on which days just yet, I suspect our special guests will only go one day of the two. I'll try and firm up details nearer the time.

Just checked the booking page, going very well considering we expanded the maximum number to 60 this year (55 in reality as we will leave space for guest drives) and we're about two thirds full at the moment. If you're thinking of track time I wouldn't leave it too long. A great spread of cars covering just about everything!

Should we invite the Fireman Mini Rich in case we get another oil slick to deal with, or Mark's barby gets out of hand?

I can confirm that ex Downton, Arden and Cooper works race driver Gordon Spice will be with us on the Saturday. I'm trying to arrange a decent Britax replica for him to take round the track.
