The car came with a 3 clock dash, I presume originally it would have been a silver one clock set up, but I want to use the 3 clock set up, works dash's to complement to follow, couple of bits done recently, need to get the cage plates welded in, then the cage before I fit the doors and windows.

Enjoying watching how this car is shaping up it. The build spec etc is similar to that of my Mk 2 project so is a source of inspiration, best of luck with it!!

[quote="billycooper"]Even though the reg number that will adorn my 60 isn't the original, the reason for doing it is below, my dad had a 997 Cooper, Cooper S ' ised ! and the reg number was KEC414, in the early 90s I found for sale KEC112', which I bought promptly, it's been on a lot of cars since I got it, but it's going to be a great throw back to get it on an old mini at last
That's me on the bonnet by the way ,

My fathers found another old pic of KEC414, complete with Dunlop D1s, A35 side lamps on the wings, Gp 2 Arches, this again is the car that started it all !!, crap picture but nice to see !

Not much done on the 60 for a while, to busy getting the "Mighty Mini" ready for Blyton, I bought the car ready to go, but as always there has ended up a list of stuff to do, so this week off work should sort that, ive been fighting with the DVLA with help from Bill as well, the car came with out a V5C, it seems with the new "rules", you cannot get a V5C without the car being MOT'd, which is a while off for me yet, after a couple of letters backwards and forwards, I ended up ringing them, got through at last and then the new rules explained to me, even though I have to MOT it on the original reg number there is no guarantee I will get that back, not to bothered about that as I want to transfer another number on to it anyway (see previous post)
Few more bits bought mind, RH Works dash from M Machine, also a new lightweight heater, trying a cooper grille on it first, as one came with the car, i have the original Minor grille but needs a bit of TLC , Grille not fastened on yet , just cable tie'd it to see what it looked like !, and bonnet just "sat on"

Day out in the sun, brakes adjusted and bled up nicely first time round, rule of thumb !, always furthest away first, then the other rear and then the fronts , one small leak, not nipped up tight enough on the bulkhead union.

Couple of bits done yesterday, Nick Rogers sorted my Wiper Motor out, looks grand !, and a Bonnet Badge as well acquired from Nick, also i've fitted an aluminium heater assembly, which comes complete with heater matrix and electric fan, it comes with 2 outlets for demisting windscreen and 2 variable vents for heating the rest of the car, should help if it rains again at Blyton
, bit more reliable, lighter and powerful than the recirculating heater that it had originally, and looks sorta period !

Haven't touched the '60' for a month or so, had a few days off so quick update, cage mountings sorted, Full safety devices cage with diagonal fitted just needs final bolt up, Mini Machine dash panel fitted, cut off switch fitted, Rev counter and switches to go on next, Seat brackets modified and trial fitting of drivers seat.
Nice to get working on the car again
