Isn`t it the blue colour that is the problem ?

There seem to be a few knocking around in black as well, maybe later ones or flakes ?

Been there & tried my best to sort it, but getting the correct colour turquoise cable seems impossible. I did find some that I thought looked correct, but when it arrived it was very thin & had no wire re-enforcement.

Looks OK from a distance, but really NOT up to the job in a hot engine bay. I also know that MS looked at doing these a while ago & even for them, the amount of cable that would have needed to have been ordered would have been uneconomical.

A few years ago I did cables of the exact same spec, but without the turquoise sheath, but this is the aspect of it that most people want.

.......always think, having the box is a "double edged sword" though - its worth or rarity becomes the box and the cable together as one - effectively making it a display case item.

EDIT I think I would rather look at £160 in a display case than a throttle cable

Just put the box in the display case & use the cable.

Or even better put another cable in the box & flog it on ebay to someone who has no idea what colour the cable should be.

Does the blue really signify anything? I have one for an MGB in turquoise...just search for one of these, can easily be cut down for a mini I'd have thought

It signifies nothing, just another box ticking exercise for those that worry about such things.
