Seems to have acquired later pedals and drawstrings instead of chrome interior door handles, shame about the Mk3 steering wheel centre too.
Currently bid to £9,000 with 6 days to run.
Pretty much identical to the one I owned when I was 19, except mine was never in such good condition.IslandBlue wrote: ↑Wed Feb 02, 2022 7:19 pm A nice looking Mk2 in need of some details putting right, and it's also gone dry.

The more I look at it the more niggly little things I notice! All easily corrected though.Se7enthHeaven wrote: ↑Thu Feb 03, 2022 12:44 pmPretty much identical to the one I owned when I was 19, except mine was never in such good condition.IslandBlue wrote: ↑Wed Feb 02, 2022 7:19 pm A nice looking Mk2 in need of some details putting right, and it's also gone dry.

If the planned house move had gone ahead I'd be sorely tempted.
Wonder what the reserve is?

- Black wiper blades
- Overriders missing
- S badge on the boot
- No script on the heater (looks like gloss not crackle)
- Ears on the radius arm grease points (deleted by '69?)
I'll get my anorak...
- Missing draught excluders from between the sliding window panes
I have to agree, much as I seem to have accumulated far too much useless information over the years my Mk2 Cooper would displease the originality police in many areas!Se7enthHeaven wrote: ↑Fri Feb 04, 2022 4:10 pm I admire people who have this detailed knowledge but I think on reflection, rather than have a museum piece (and have it picked apart), I'd rather have have a good looking, fun to drive mongrel. Maybe in Tartan Red and Black in memory of HNK 777G.
Have to agree, back in the day, whole point of a Mini was to personalise it, not many were as they left the factory.....IslandBlue wrote: ↑Fri Feb 04, 2022 7:02 pmI have to agree, much as I seem to have accumulated far too much useless information over the years my Mk2 Cooper would displease the originality police in many areas!Se7enthHeaven wrote: ↑Fri Feb 04, 2022 4:10 pm I admire people who have this detailed knowledge but I think on reflection, rather than have a museum piece (and have it picked apart), I'd rather have have a good looking, fun to drive mongrel. I also decided long ago that I preferred driving Minis to cleaning the b!**%y things (hazardous occupation!)
