Interesting Boot Lid, has Mk3 outer skin and Mk2 inner ribbed skin with holes for Mk3 number plate light. No holes in outer skin for light and fitted with drop down plate. Cheap at that price but it will obviously go for a lot moreUHR850 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 13, 2021 1:12 pm 1969 Morris Mini mk2

Why has this not sold yet? £35'000 is pretty fair for an unrotten 1071 with all the bits present.
Think its Rolex Bob........its been on so many times and then been taken down as Auction reaches close, maybe " just flying a kite" to see if market going up or down. Probably dosent help that it will always be know as Rolex Bob`s car.Costafortune wrote: ↑Wed Sep 15, 2021 9:38 amWhy has this not sold yet? £35'000 is pretty fair for an unrotten 1071 with all the bits present.
Original vs Reproduction ?Old English White wrote: ↑Wed Sep 15, 2021 11:26 am Interesting that he now claims the interior to be "all original" when he previous claimed that the different (Restalls?) seats fitted along with the Minilite wheels and other period bits were "original".
Indeed - the difference between "standard" and "original" - when first "discovered" it had Microcell recliners and Rosepetal wheels. It has also gained a body number on the front panel since then...Old English White wrote: ↑Wed Sep 15, 2021 11:26 am Interesting that he now claims the interior to be "all original" when he previous claimed that the different (Restalls?) seats fitted along with the Minilite wheels and other period bits were "original".
Imagine if you bought this car, it would be a talking point where ever you took it66Traveller wrote: ↑Wed Sep 15, 2021 1:09 pmIndeed - the difference between "standard" and "original" - when first "discovered" it had Microcell recliners and Rosepetal wheels. Is it a Mk 3/4 Evocation ?and.rs1800 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 15, 2021 5:36 pm This “1965” mini is up for sale again-two grand less than last time https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324790602284 ... SwE3VhAsA1
I agree - its not a bad car. The hype and eye-watering price tag were the problems. I suspect he would have sold it long ago for a very good price if he hadn't over egged it...Pete wrote: ↑Wed Sep 15, 2021 10:37 pm At worst Rolex Bob’s is a logbook special? But plenty of Ss are that sell for plenty more than that. His problem really is the sheer amount of bullcrap he’s used on previous listings, the new home made body number plate won’t help but mainly the absolutely ridiculous price he put on it to start with! Cars like this develop a stigma where nobody wants to own them!
All the looks and fun of an S for less than half the priceand.rs1800 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 16, 2021 5:19 pm Really nice looking early mk3
