Described as "Prince Charles arriving at Trinity College in his Mini Cooper"
Clearly NOT a Cooper.
Some Pathe footage. The year is 1967, Trinity College Cambridge. The car is a Mk1 Austin SDL, reg no. 815 FRX.

My neck of the woods - I grew up less than a mile away, in CherryHinton.
Sainsbury’s was built ~1974 and that photo looks not long after as the newsagent hasn’t yet opened in the corner unit next to the freezer center.

Charrington House in Bishops Stortford, probably early '70s, the Mk2 Mini in the foreground looks like it has an aftermarket dash, there's also a hint of a wheel arch extension...

Disc brakes, grille and narrower bonnet badge mean it is a Cooper

It's got disks, so Cooper.
That photo on the harbour looks like an interesting event! The guy in the seven probably thought he had it in the bag until some bugger rocked up in a bobtail Cooper!

The Longbridge photos are bitter sweet. All those people working there, long hours churning out cars that were sold instantly. Imagine the noise of the place.
Now it's a housing estate to be, starter homes filled with Chinese made shit, foreign car on the drive and a World of Tat superstore up the road.
