Totally agree. Avoid Tozer at all costs. See his other items - He must be breaking all his junk cars that fill his yard.by Rusty old S » Thu Jun 24, 2021 8:20 am

Re: WTH??!?! Have you seen this item on ebay.
That’s all I know at the moment. He’s not a happy man. The main story Is obviously the fact that there was a BCR copy built that was allowed to be registered which has kept him from getting his original car back on the road.spoon.450 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 23, 2021 10:22 pmInteresting……so, what’s the story ?641071S wrote: ↑Tue Jun 22, 2021 10:46 pm 572 BCR was in an auction in France on Sunday, up for a valuation of between €80 - €120k!!! It did not sell.
There is a very good reason why it now looks the way it does as it seems that quite simply it is not, and never has been 572 BCR.
The original and genuine 572 BCR incredibly still exists, has been in the same ownership for over 50 years and has amazingly been quietly nestled away out of public view since the 1980s. I was recently introduced to the retired gentleman who owns it who tells me that he originally brought it from Liz Jones (a fellow dog breeder friend of his mother) for the princely sum of £145! He says that, health permitting, he is hoping to take it back out on the road as soon as he has finished returning it to it’s original Monte Carlo Rally specification, including it’s original 997 Downton engine.
I’ll see if he’s willing to discuss it further and what he’s been doing about it next time I speak to him.

I’ve put one in the for sale section at way less than half that price.Exminiman wrote: ↑Thu Jun 24, 2021 7:14 am“ Not sure exactly its bore size but its approx 70mm” would point to standard or liners....might be effecting price or maybe because its Henley on Thamesspoon.450 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 23, 2021 10:41 pm https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255021764671

I must have been lucky when I bought my Cooper of him about 28 years ago. Just what you need an infamous previous owner.minimk1man wrote: ↑Thu Jun 24, 2021 10:55 amTotally agree. Never seen a steering wheel nut cover, why would you need one? It's always covered by the steering wheel centre cap.UHR850 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 28, 2021 2:37 pm https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/284176188413?

Looks quite serviceable - simplified design may well be better and lighter too?UHR850 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 29, 2021 9:07 am Classic Mini Scottish Style Sump Guard
