It seems to me that the only person it has value to is someone who has stolen, or is prepared to steal, a Mini pickup.nick@dunsdale wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 10:10 amWhat possible value could this have......yet it appears to be getting bidsmab01uk wrote: ↑Tue Jun 15, 2021 8:01 pm 1982 Austin Mini Pickup - "Severe fire damage"

Does make complete sense, was struggling to understand why anyone was bidding on what is really just a number plate.........finchy533 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 12:14 pmIt seems to me that the only person it has value to is someone who has stolen, or is prepared to steal, a Mini pickup.nick@dunsdale wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 10:10 amWhat possible value could this have......yet it appears to be getting bidsmab01uk wrote: ↑Tue Jun 15, 2021 8:01 pm 1982 Austin Mini Pickup - "Severe fire damage"

Honestly described Mk3 S?
Reshelled at some point, aren't they all? Looks a nice one to me.

It's not a dubious Mk 3 S, it's not a Mk 3 S.It’s a very dubious MK3 S though
Is his car the one that passed the MOT in 2012 ? If not he might not be able to “take it back on the road” as it wont be registered to him........just a thought641071S wrote: ↑Tue Jun 22, 2021 10:46 pm 572 BCR was in an auction in France on Sunday, up for a valuation of between €80 - €120k!!! It did not sell.
There is a very good reason why it now looks the way it does as it seems that quite simply it is not, and never has been 572 BCR.
The original and genuine 572 BCR incredibly still exists, has been in the same ownership for over 50 years and has amazingly been quietly nestled away out of public view since the 1980s. I was recently introduced to the retired gentleman who owns it who tells me that he originally brought it from Liz Jones (a fellow dog breeder friend of his mother) for the princely sum of £145! He says that, health permitting, he is hoping to take it back out on the road as soon as he has finished returning it to it’s original Monte Carlo Rally specification, including it’s original 997 Downton engine.
That is very nice. I'd put the original 12 inch wheels and trims back on though and the correct grille - or at least paint the silver centre bits black. But it looks like a serious restoration.mab01uk wrote: ↑Tue Jun 22, 2021 4:38 pm 1975 Morris Mini 1275 GT in very rare Citron yellow / green with black interior trim
