Yes it is a weirdly high price for a 998 Cooper. I wonder what the story is?
Easy.
Fool + money = soon parted.
The old recipes are the best. To pay 50 large for an S you'd need your head feeling.
Holy Macaroni you don’t see results like that very often!
. A reshelled 998 Cooper for £47k! I think that’ll go down in history! I bet the seller had a late night after that!

Who would pay that for a boring 998 Cooper.......there was a sensibly ( cheap ? ) priced Mk2 S for 22k .....no comparison. And what about 20 k plus for a late 1275 GT.....a mini clubman with an Allegro engine swat in .........

Good luck with the sale Frank. I'm sure that the Countess will find a good new home.

I hope so too Frank. It must have been a difficult decision to make. It is such a rare car and in lovely condition. The auction will have received quite a bit of good publicity which should help the sale. Good luck with it.

What a brilliant restoration on a very rare car. I think it will go for more than £20k, it should !

Hope it goes for a good price to someone who will get it out and about…
