Nice to see an original front panel with NMP (Nuffield Metal Pressings) plate still attached so is a Cowley assembled Austin.

I have one of those on a front panel I took off, thinking it was an older reproduction front panel, it was rusted out anyway, looks like I best put the plate back on the new panel then!!!

Somebody on morris minor forum makes replica nmp plates to order. I purchased one for wife's traveller.

Well according to Mark's data base its a 67 850/1000/Moke (3.76 diff) ...... except for the aftermarket 120mph outer scale...

Inner scale probably original ... 150 kph = approx 94 mph

It could be the change over shell that was used in August/Sept 64 but for sure it’s not an early 64 shell that was used when this car was built

Anything specific? I have had a few conversations with ex employees of Fischer Pressings, so some (possibly test) panels appear to have been supplied much earlier in 1964. Just intrigued as to what I may have missed?

still prefer lifting by two bolts in the spark plugs" M14 by 1.25 pitch" then again I always was strange!!
