Of course it depends on when it was actually built not registered
It does indeed. But if it was built in 64 it would have the early sun visors with the central chromed bracket (which it doesn't) - it has the 66 on type....
Good point … didn’t see that !

For those up North and over the Border Morris Leslie have a 1964 Morris Mini Traveller on offer this week. It's been hiding in a garage for a number of years but does not look too bad. Has some of the usual rot, but the wood looks good and it does not look like it has been bodged in the past. There is no estimate so one assumes that it is being sold without reserve.

An interesting project - and it looks far from the rustiest Mini we've ever seen
Let's hope that the (original Peebleshire) registration number can be retained.

That is very cheap for a smooth roof Traveller.

Coming up at Silverstone Auctions first sale of teh year are a couple of non-Mini items of interest.
https://www.silverstoneauctions.com/sil ... 2022-03-05
First up is a works MGB. Good descriptions suggests that this is a genuine car, and not some reshell/replica/log book build. Rarer than a works Mini but with an estimate to match.
https://www.silverstoneauctions.com/sa0 ... n=1&pp=100
Next is one that a lot of forum members would like on their wall (if her indoors would let them), an original Speedwell poster. Estimate seems reasonable for such a rare item (as long as it is not one of Marks repros).
https://www.silverstoneauctions.com/sa0 ... n=1&pp=100
And finally something that I have always admired, a Chinese Eye Bentley S3. Ideal for those looking for that '60s pop star look on their drive

And if you are in the market for a competition car they are many in the sale for all tastes, it is worth a look.

It’s a very nice car - but P O’T not in the same league of international fame as the Fab 4…

That works B is something else. I do love a B in that colourscheme. I once saw the ex-Hopkirk Le Mans B, that was great as well.

First Mini I ever properly restored (and then destroyed!
) is back. Not quite the same car and I have to say I think I did a better job of the original than the ‘new’ one.

I imagine that you fitted the door cards the right way up for a start!
Yes, there are quite a few basic errors on that car aren't there. What complicated lives so many of these cars have had eh?

Saltham,
When a new member pops up & starts to slag off cars both of which are being offered by the same seller, some would wonder if you have an axe to grind.
If you have, a would respectfully suggest that the MK1 Forum is not the place to pursue personal vendettas.
Please treat this as a request to think about what you are saying & why you are saying it.
Thank you.
PS. I do not have a dog in this race, but know where comments like this usually end up.

Was it island Blue in a previous life? Interior is from an Island Blue car - Tweed Grey would have a Cumulus grey/Dove grey interior not Cumulus grey/ gold brocade.....
