This 67 Cooper project was poorly described and a bargain

this was on ebay the other week, but not as polished - so I assume someone is hoping to flip it for a profit
its odd though, if you take into account the thickness of the strange lip and the little buttresses, then the cover either 1) doesn't fit onto a mini, or 2) must be really thin so it fits behind the head studs - in which case I wonder if its going to hit the springs and the rockers.
its certainly unusual though

Hidden away in the 'car parts' section which is unusual.... part deseamed too, interesting project for someone...!
Another Mk1 Cooper here in the Morris section...

My guess from the pics are Wood & Pickett rear quarters.
These are called "Double Shadowlite" and were deleted early 1974.
Here is a link to a car with these fitted

That rocker cover is horrible.
The seller certainly has a "Shotgun approach" to his listing title & I particularly liked this bit;
"WITH WHAT MAY BE A COSWORTH NUMBER CAST INSIDE?"

too be fair to the seller, cosworth could have used that casting number on an entirety different item and for an entirely different application - so from that leftfield point of thinking its not a bad assertion to make!

that looks like its had a chain passed through the front and rear screens and has then been lifted up with it!
no doubt its been yanked from its damp resting place!

What a crying shame it's been stored so badly - one previous owner and genuine 30,000miles according to the seller
That shell would provide some restoration challenges wouldn't it
It's also listed as an auction and bid to £620 at present.
