Stuart, amongst the vehicles you list as being for sale at the auction is:
The DVLA details have it on SORN (2015) with an 848cc engine which it would have had when new back in 1967. Quite a few other things under the bonnet do not appear to be of 1967 vintage e.g. master cylinders, alternator.
Putting all that to one side for a moment what I am curious about is the chassis number. The auction website quotes the registration number followed by the chassis number as:
Registration No:MWG423F
Chassis No:M15B008019L
The registration number would appear to be correct for the year and as they state within the description, that is a Stirlingshire number, unless it is an age related issue of course. (Unused Scottish numbers have always been favoured by the DVLA for age related plates.)
They say the chassis number is M15B008019L but this doesn't look like a 1967 Moke number to me. In fact it doesn't look like a chassis number of any type of Mini c. 1967. I'm no expert so perhaps someone on here with more knowledge of Moke chassis numbers has the answer? Maybe it is correct for 1967? Within the number, M makes sense as Morris and B as Buckboard. Does L at the end mean LHD and if it does how does that tie in with it being a UK and therefore RHD Moke?
